As the NewEra administration of the Executive Chairman, Rt. Hon. Evangelist Edidiong Joseph Inyang, marks its second anniversary on October 7, 2026, the Vice Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Goodness Emmanuel Obot, has felicitated with him and the people of the LGA on two years of purposeful leadership, visible development and people-oriented governance.
“This milestone reaffirms the mandate freely entrusted to us by our people and our collective determination to build a stronger, more prosperous Ibesikpo Asutan,” she said.
Two years of delivery. Since assuming office on October 7, 2024, the Chairman has demonstrated that leadership “is not about political rhetoric but about responsibility, practical interventions and the courage to translate campaign promises into meaningful development.” The Vice Chairman singled out the construction of a new Administrative Block and a modern Legislative Chamber as a defining achievement of institutional development, alongside interventions in electricity infrastructure through the donation of transformers to communities, road grading across the LGA, sustained attention to security and initiatives promoting human development.
A partnership of purpose. Describing her working relationship with the Executive Chairman as one of “shared vision, common purpose and unwavering commitment to the success of the NewEra project,” the Vice Chairman pledged to continue advancing the interests of Ibesikpo Asutan above every personal consideration. She also commended the Chairman's commitment to the ARISE Agenda of Governor Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD.
A call to unity. Entering the third year of the administration, she called on traditional rulers, political leaders, party faithful, youths, women and community stakeholders to close ranks, resist divisive tendencies and sustain the political solidarity required to protect the gains made. “Our collective strength remains our greatest asset,” she said.
The Vice Chairman thanked the Executive Council, the Legislative Council, the management and staff of the Local Government, traditional institutions, political stakeholders and every citizen who has contributed to the journey. She closed with the words: “Long live the NewEra administration! Long live Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area! Long live Akwa Ibom State!”
